SARAH JONES, OD, FOVDR

Dr. Jones obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2012 from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. She received her Doctorate of Optometry in 2016 from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She then completed a residency in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy at Bowersox Vision Center in Shelbyville, KY. She is a certified fellow in vision development, vision therapy, and vision rehabilitation through OVDRA (formerly COVD).

Her love of binocular vision started when she was diagnosed with convergence insufficiency and saccadic dysfunction as a first-year optometry student and started undergoing vision therapy as a patient. Ever since, she has been passionate about identifying and fixing these problems earlier in life so that kids don’t struggle with reading like she did.

She married her favorite optometry school classmate in 2017, and her husband practices at Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, GA. She and her husband have two sons (ages 5 and 2), two dogs, and two cats. She also loves makeup!

ABOUT THE PRACTICE

After a few years of practicing in a primary care setting, Dr. Jones decided to pursue starting her own practice and opened Southern Vision Development Center in 2019. She has carefully curated and trained a wonderful team over the years. We never stop learning and participate in continuing education on an ongoing basis.
