AMBLYOPIA
Historically called "lazy eye," amblyopia refers to a situation in which (usually) one eye does not see clearly even with glasses, and there is no eye disease causing it. It can be caused by refractive error/glasses prescription (refractive amblyopia) or an eye turn (strabismic amblyopia).

Amblyopia can be easy to miss since symptoms may be subtle, especially if there's no accompanying eye turn. Some early childhood symptoms include difficulty in catching or hitting a ball, trouble seeing 3D movies, and apparent clumsiness (running into things, knocking things over).
